What is the matter?

Hi, recently here in Blockcoders we started using WordPress plugin called “SyntaxHighlighter Evolved“. There was clear start-up guide “how to use it” and show the syntaxhighlighter to highlight your code in your blog posts, but it still didn’t work — in the beginning, before made it to work. Couple of our precious working hours wasted to oblivion, because we were solving this annoying problem. The plugin installed correctly and everything seemed to be right — but not.

Okay, how to fix this plugin problem?

Ouraid, first you need to install the plugin, then write your code between special markup “[language]code[/language]” in your blog posts and it should work. Okay, and again — it isnt working. So, how to fix the problem?. You will figure everything out if you read the official plugin wordpress FAQ-section.

But, I will explain it here too:

This function call must be in your footer.php somewhere. Just add it there.

<?php wp_footer(); ?>

This will help you out. Just add the “wp_footer();” function call somewhere into the footer.php. Thank you. Hope this saves the couple of working hours of yours.

Have you tried like this? Call it at the very bottom of the footer -file, just before you end the html-tag. Include every javascript and jquery-files before the wp_footer funciton call.
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"> </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/syntaxhighlighter.js" </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/js.js" </script> <?php wp_footer(); ?> </html> WITH ME that just works fine :)
This post was only solution so far to start SyntaxHighliter, but HUGE problem appeared - if I ad anywhere into footer.php, it stops JavaScript from running. In that case DynamicWP Contact Form is not working, and console reports : Uncaught ReferenceError: SyntaxHighlighter is not defined. If I remove , contact form works, but SH not. Do you have any idea what to do next? Thank you, Boxon
